Encouraging a multifaceted approach to teaching and learning

Welcome to the inaugural issue of our monthly newsletter 'Inspiring Spaces' with stories to help re-imagine learning spaces to inspire and engage.

Without further ado, let's find out how St Paul’s Collegiate School, one of New Zealand’s leading independent secondary schools in Hamilton, began planning the fit-out and furniture for their new, ground-breaking innovative learning hub– the?Lander Centre.

More than 50 years ago, the?Hornsby Library?at St Paul’s Collegiate School opened, catering for 360 students, providing an oasis of warmth and quiet amid the everyday rush of school life.

But as the school roll grew, so did the need for new infrastructure and more resources. There was an urgent need for a larger modern learning space to meet the growing requirements of their teaching and learning practices.

The culture of excellence was at the heart of planning the Lander Centre when Deputy Headmaster Academic?Jeremy Coley?began planning the fit-out and furniture.
