TO ALL PRIVATE CLUB STAFF: ?From Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day it is a blur of intense daily SPRINTS that comprises a 6-week MARATHON of individual focus and overall team execution!
THE CULINARY TEAM: Their momentum began, well – several days before Thanksgiving Day! The attention to preparation and presentation again resulted in members being “Wowed” with pride in bringing closest family and friends to their club on this special day.
Their expertise is on display for the duration of the marathon that vividly illustrates the fact that they know “People Eat With Their Eyes!”
The visual presentation … the various heights and depths … the artistic blend of colors and textures … the lighting and ice carvings … the 'Action Stations' - combine to create overall sights to behold.
THE FOH SERVICE STAFF: Each shift starts with a detailed line-up. Tables are set precisely to reservations and any special requests. The festive folded napkins and wine glasses all in place.
The silverware hand-polished and any remaining small smudges on glassware held up to the lights and gently rubbed away.
The centerpieces all perfectly centered. The side-stations fully stocked.
Candles lit. Chairs all aligned and just touching the draped starched linens. The actual service is precise and flows seamlessly.
THE BOH STAFF: ?knows that the influx of dishes, utensils and glassware will be steady. So, they are “ready-set-go” in handling and turn-a-round with spotless precision.
THE BEVERAGE TEAM: The favorite wines of individual members are ready to go. The main and portable bars are pre-stocked for success. Being aware of the many youngsters with their family on family-oriented events … special ‘mock-tails’ and ‘kiddie-drinks’ are primed and at the ready.

THE OUTSIDE STAFF: Depending upon the local weather … the grounds crew knows that many members (including the low handi-cappers) will be treating family members … some with limited golf expertise, to experience a great time together for the first time ever on a real private country club course! Thus – the cups have been placed while keeping this in mind.
And – knowing how meaningful it is for members to share their club with extended family … great attention is given to having play this day be one to remember.
FROM BEGINNING TO END: It starts with the valet greetings. The welcoming smiles found in the reception area. Leading up to the fond farewells that serves to put a ribbon around a marathon of consistently memorable member experiences.
ALL OF THE ABOVE: Yes --- every tiny component of the above is dependent on an incredible staff. Many of them are taking time away from their own family and friends over the course of this marathon.
Over the stretch of several back-to-back days, many will be going home hours after their own family have enjoyed time around the table without them.
DEPARTMENT HEADS / MANAGEMENT: Over the entire marathon - make a point of going throughout the club property … gather a few staff together now and then at opportune moments … for no other reason than to sincerely thank them, encourage them, appreciate them all for being a vital part of something special!
Over the course of a marathon – encouragement and appreciation go a long way!
From THANKSGIVING … to MERRY CHRISTMAS … all the way through HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Spread thanks, merriment, and happiness throughout.
Happy Holidays! Happy Holidays! May the merry bells keep bringing, Happy Holidays to you!
