Encounter #25712 with my 6-year and 11-year?olds
My 6-year old is a master Lego builder. Chess lover. Competitive Beyblade player and loves to swing in our backyard playarea. In one of our swing races a few days ago, he said that "to reach the top [of the swing pendulum], you have to first focus on the top [of the tree branch], swing hard, and hang on to the ropes tight!"
My 11-year old son is a tinkerer. He likes to open up things. Figure stuff out. He's an avid gamer, a voracious reader, and a table-tennis (ping pong) champion. He will ask me this question every few weeks: "Would you want to be your employee?" and "Are your clients happy?" as well as “What did you learn the last few weeks?”. These typically are questions that a parent should ask but my kid is running circles around me ;-)
Recently, we played a mock game of stock trading as I am teaching myself the basics of stocks, and thought the best way to learn is to read/understand and then teach someone the same. I got some good gems from them as takeaways. Will share in the next post. Till then, stay safe and keep learning.
