Enactus Maitreyi's Empowering Journey

As the world grapples with socio-economic challenges, student-led initiatives play a pivotal role in driving positive change. Enactus Maitreyi, a dynamic non-profit organisation, stands at the forefront of this movement, spearheading innovative projects to uplift marginalised communities through entrepreneurial action.

Dedication to Social and Economic Development

Throughout the past year, Enactus Maitreyi has demonstrated steadfast dedication to its mission of fostering social and economic development. From empowering rescued sex workers through Project Misbah to providing slum women with opportunities for financial independence via Project Swarnim, the organisation has consistently strived to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need, even gaining media attention from outlets like Aaj Tak and RAJASTHAN TAK. We even researched and worked on our third project: Project Avinnya, which is a bioplastic initiative.

Impactful Outreach and Engagement

Our reach went to the student community of Delhi through our stalls at Hindu College, University of Delhi, Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi, Bennett University, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and more. Enactus Maitreyi's initiatives extended beyond traditional university settings, reaching cultural events at Manipal University Jaipur and prestigious gatherings at the Australian High Commission, New Delhi. These experiences not only propelled its projects to new heights but also underscored the universal resonance of its cause

Continuous Learning and Skill Development

In addition to its impactful initiatives, Enactus Maitreyi actively participated in seminars, webinars, and competitions, fostering a culture of continuous learning among its members. Our seminars on Indian MBA, tips to ace interviews, and even what to do after graduation gave our team networking opportunities and exposure. Whether hosting pitch deck competitions during our annual cultural fest, Rhapsody'24, or organising declamation events during our Diwali Mela, we provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and creatively address pressing social issues.

Community Engagement and Insights

Enactus Maitreyi's commitment to community engagement was exemplified through visits to NGOs and field trips to various foundations. By interacting with underprivileged children at LITTLE SEEDS NGO, potential beneficiaries at Shanti Sahyog a Gandhian NGO Foundation, and industry professionals, members gained invaluable insights and strengthened their sense of accountability in their endeavours.

The Culmination

Our year ended with two big events, Parikrama, our Annual Enactus Fest, and our participation in Enactus India Nationals'24. Parikrama was a success where we celebrated social impact, talent, and innovation through our competitions, stalls, seminars, and collaborations. Enactus Nationals, in which our efforts helped us reach the top 20, was a huge moment of celebration for us. Our hard work and long-term vision were also rewarded with the prestigious Legacy Award.

As we reflect on Enactus Maitreyi's accomplishments, it is evident that the organisation has made a tangible impact on the communities it serves while empowering its members to become compassionate leaders and change-makers. Moving forward, Enactus Maitreyi remains resolutely committed to driving social impact, one innovative project at a time.
