Next Generation Applications need to be Agile, Flexible, Secure, Adaptable, Analytic, Predictive, Extensible and Simple. That is a very long list of goals, each of which seems to require a lot of hard work to achieve.

In this 10 minute Oracle Openworld keynote, I describe how eight cutting edge technologies recently added into the Oracle database make achieving all these goals possible, and how converging these technologies into one database makes achieving these goals relatively easy.
