Enable's 2023 in review: Global success built together

Enable's 2023 in review: Global success built together

2023 was our busiest and most exciting year yet as our team at Enable, a 富士通 company set off to achieve global domination, recognition and expansion while working harder than ever to bring together and uplift our teams, customers and partners.

It's hard to cover it all, but we've tried - enjoy our year-in-review recap!

There's something about the Summit

This year, the APJ ServiceNow Summit took the Enable team to 11 different destinations to listen to, learn from and share experiences and transformation journeys with some amazing partners and customers. Bringing people together all over the world, is there anything better?

The Summit was one of the highlights of the year, but more excitingly, it was just the start of the journey! We are excited to experience the new regions and new markets with our Fujitsu family.

Where in the world will you find us in 2024?!

Kia ora New Zealand!

Anyone who has visited or hails from Aotearoa New Zealand will tell you it's a special place where people and businesses understand the importance of optimising technology value and are committed to ongoing sustainability. It's why fully establishing an on-the-ground Enable team in Auckland in 2023 was such a big deal.

Charles Bonfante is heading up an amazing local team as GM, overlooking the work we're doing collaboratively and face-to-face with local businesses to align our teams and ensure success.

Our dedication to meeting the needs of the people and businesses we serve and acknowledging the importance of local culture and land, we were also proud to announce the ServiceNow platform can be configured in both English and te reo Māori.

4th time's a charm - ServiceNow APJ Partner of the Year

2023 was the fourth year in a row that Enable, a Fujitsu company was named ServiceNow APJ Elite Partner of the Year. And no, it never gets old!

If that wasn't enough, we also took home ServiceNow APJ Creator Workflow Partner of the Year and ServiceNow APJ Emerging Service Provider Partner of the Year!

And (yes, there's more), Enable was recognised as a leader in the 2023 ISG Provider Lens Report across all categories for ServiceNow services in Australia:

  • ServiceNow Consulting services
  • ServiceNow Implementation and Integration Services
  • ServiceNow Managed Services Providers

We're running out of space in the trophy cabinet ;)

Enable CEO Bruce Hara acknowledged these as a win for the entire team and how when we succeed, we succeed together: "I’m super proud of our team across #APJ for once again being recognised as a leading force in driving business innovation in our region. These awards are a celebration of their hard work and relentless drive in achieving customer success and deepening our partnership with ServiceNow."

What happens in Vegas is too good to keep in Vegas

Vegas might not be the first place you think of when you think of knowledge… But ServiceNow is changing that! SeviceNow's Knowledge 2023 at The Venetian Las Vegas was three days of the latest innovations, the hottest offerings and the world's most knowledgeable people (at least we think so).

This year, Enable focused on leveraging our leading position in the APJ market to bring our ServiceNow innovations to North America and Europe as we continue to grow arm-in-arm within the Fujitsu family.

We might be biased, but we think our Fujitsu Enablers delivered some of the highlights of the event:

  • David Liu , Sohaib Mushtaq and Jai Rangam ran an Interactive Lab on Connecting ServiceNow Instances, complete with demos to ensure attendees got the full benefit of the solutions presented.
  • Jamie Douglas and Varun Garg 's #CMDB session had the biggest audience of our sessions, with the audience reporting they connected deeply with the content and found the implementation 'how to' invaluable.
  • Bhavisha Keshwala and Jake Gillespie hosted a booked-out session as “standbys” - and ended the event with more than a few fans.

Winning solutions at the Appathon & Hackathon

Fujitsu Enablers got their thon on this year, with our teams making it (nearly) all the way to the top in two different events.

Our Philippines Team were finalists in the ServiceNow-sponsored Appathon, which brought together ServiceNow technology teams from across Asia to flex their app-building muscles. Team Enable built an app called 'e-hersisyo' (Tagalog word meaning ‘exercise’ in English), designed to reverse the increased sedentary lifestyle habits brought on by the pandemic. Fully integrated with ServiceNow's CSM and portal, as well as Apple Health Tracker devices, the app provides personalised workout plans, allowing users to choose their preferred exercise challenge based on their fitness level, time availability, and exercise preferences.

Did we mention they did this all in just one week?!

Later in the year, the Recovery Heroes, David Liu , Vasanth Kandaswamy , Kevin Clark , Sandeep J. and Snigdha Kotnala were also crowned first runner-up in the ServiceNow RiseUp ANZ Hackathon. They were recognised for their solution Recovery Assist, a tech solution inspired by personal experiences that empower individuals and communities in disaster management and business continuity.

Boosting health, wellbeing and togetherness through volunteering opportunities

Health and well-being mean something different to everyone, which is why we like to offer flexibility in our well-being programs.

As a Fujitsu company, Enable has access to the established initiatives from Fujitsu's Office of Purpose. Office of Purpose is an inspiring program that encourages diversity, inclusivity, and giving back to the community. Through this initiative, Enable employees can volunteer and participate in various social outreach activities that align with their passions and values.

Here are some of our favourite volunteering stories Fujitsu Enabler's undertook through Office of Purpose in 2023:

  • ServiceNow consultant Zoey C. travelled to Bali for a holiday with a difference - teaching English in a local kindergarten. She lived in the local community for two months, working and connecting with the families she was teaching.
  • Rachel Sparkes and Babitha Gourishetty got involved in a mentoring program supporting female students in Years 10 and 11. They focused on female leadership, particularly in business and technology, overcoming challenges and navigating professional journeys.
  • Our team in Singapore ( Zoey C. , Wei Chuan , Mun Koo Law and Fu Hua Lim ) took part in the Plant-A-Tree initiative aiming to plant a million trees in 10 years - a great opportunity for Fujitsu Enablers to get outdoors and do something positive for our environment.
  • Paul Thomason , Director of Strategy and Innovation at Enable, does a sponsored event every single year to give back to his community. In 2023, he hiked the Amazon and the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, raising over $6,000 ?for Spoke to a Bloke, an Aussie charity aiming to reduce levels of male suicide.

Welcoming the world to Sydney as a World Forum diamond sponsor

The World Forum takes ServiceNow Knowledge '23 on the road, stopping at some of the world's biggest cities - and Enable was there to welcome them to Sydney with open arms.

You can't be a diamond sponsor without getting a bit flashy, so we set up a big green booth that offered something for everyone - free coffee and professional headshots, mini golf, and in-booth sessions with some of our experts on a range of specialist topics.

Some of the highlights included:

  • Natasha Darbyshire from Auckland Transport and Charles Bonfante , GM of Enable New Zealand, taking over Theatre 4 to share Auckland Transport's successful ServiceNow implementation.
  • Our Hackathon team demonstrating their podium-finishing solution Recovery Assist
  • Building relationships and celebrating togetherness at our customer appreciation night, where we took over a Sydney bar to share some great conversation (and some Japanese whiskey) with some of our favourite customers and partners.

Take a sneak peek inside our annual Customer Appreciation Night and see how we celebrated the Sydney leg of the World Forum with some of our much-loved customers and knowledge leaders:

ServiceNow acquires Enable technology

In a big 'pinch us' moment, ServiceNow acquired Enable's ToolBox OH&S technology assets. Native to the Now Platform, Toolbox will help ServiceNow accelerate and scale existing health and safety solutions, enhance safety management practices and streamline incident prevention and response processes. It will also help customers create safer, more connected, and more compliant workplace experiences on the intelligent end-to-end platform for digital transformation.

Asia and India and ANZ, oh my!

We finished off an incredible year by bringing our teams together across various regions to leave our mantra of 'better together' and to celebrate success, deepen relationships and bring people face-to-face who have only ever known each other through a screen.

It started with the first-ever Enable Asia conference (held in the Philippines) and the first India event since before the pandemic. Because all work and no play is no way to live your life, the events included all sorts of fun, from karaoke, dance lessons, cake and more than one after-party.

In Australia, teams headed to the sunny Gold Coast for three days of togetherness, celebrating the year that was and looking forward to an even bigger and better 2024 with training, learning and mindset activities - and of course a big gala dinner to finish it off.

And that's a wrap for 2023!

We can hardly believe what the Enable, a Fujitsu company team has achieved in just one year - or that we managed to fit so much fun in! We are already planning for a bigger 2024 and look forward to all the opportunities and potential ahead.

A big thank you to all our teams, customers and partners who were by our side this year. We can't wait to do it all again with you next year and beyond.

You. Us. Together - Better Together.

Congratulations on such an ambitious and fruitful year! As Bruce Lee once said - Be water, my friend. It seems you've truly embraced adaptability and strength in your journey. ?? Let's keep creating waves in our respective fields! #Inspiration #Teamwork ???
