Serbian electricity transmission system operator EMS announced that procedures for the connection of renewable energy capacity to the network have been postponed due to the determined risk for the safe operations of the energy system, due to the lack of the reserve for the balancing of the system.
?
The list of projects which are not a subject to potential postponement includes 27 wind farms and five solar power plants.
?
The 27 wind farms are: Alibunar 1, Alibunar 2, Banat, Banat 3, Banatsko Novo Selo, Banat 2, Uljma, Basaid, Bela Anta, Bela Anta 2, Crni Vrh Power, Cibuk 2, Cestobrodica, Elicio Ali 2, Kostolac, Krivaca, Maestrale Ring, Nikine Vode, Plandiste 1, Pupin, Torak, Vetrozelena, Celzijus 1, Elicio Wind 01, GEX Wind 1, Kosava and Novo Selo 2, with combined installed capacity of 4,199.52 MW.
?
The five solar power plants are: Solarina, Adria Solea Sjenica, Kima Solar, PV Power Plant and Uljma, with combined installed capacity of 352 MW.
?
According to recently adopted plan of the development of the transmission system for the 2023-2032 period, the maximum RES capacity that the system can balance amounts to 5,800 MW (4,800 in wind farms and 1,000 MW in solar power plants).
?
EMS added that the postponement of the process of connection does not apply to the facilities for which the agreement on the preparation of the study of the connection of the facility was signed with the operator at the moment of the preparation of the adequacy analysis.
