Hello, EmpowHER Community!
We're thrilled to bring you the latest edition of our EmpowHER newsletter, and this time, we're diving into the vital topic of "Building a Diverse and Inclusive Workplace in Healthcare." ??
You could call it divine intervention as tomorrow marks the start of mental health awareness week (May 15th - 21st) which I was totally unaware of when I mapped out the first twelve themes for the Journal however I do believe timing is everything and I hope you will feel humbled as I do by the raw honesty from Aamer and Jemma about their personal experiences and the recovery journey, you are both truly inspiring! The official theme this year is anxiety which I think has impacted on all healthcare professionals more so since the pandemic. I will be sharing my personal experiences and some resources everyday this week
Creating a healthcare environment that embraces diversity and fosters inclusivity is crucial for positive change and better patient care. In this issue, we explore strategies, share personal stories, and offer practical advice on recruitment, retention, tackling workplace bullying, and more. It's all about empowering you to make a difference in your workplace!
But that's not all! Our featured articles cover a wide range of topics, from dealing with challenging bosses to navigating knowledge vampires in the workplace. We've got you covered with thought-provoking insights, real-life experiences, and a sprinkle of humour to brighten your day. ??
EmpowHER's regular columns continue to bring you coaching case studies and practical tips, providing you with the tools and knowledge to thrive in your career. We believe in the power of community, so we invite you to engage, share your experiences, and learn from one another.
