Empowerment to make healthy choices

Empowerment to make healthy choices

Did you know? According to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 16% of Americans are living with diabetes, and an additional 38% have prediabetes. This startling statistic means nearly half of our communities are grappling with elevated blood sugar levels.

National Diabetes Month is a time to highlight the crucial role advocacy and education play in diabetes care and prevention. By equipping individuals with essential knowledge of diabetes management, healthy lifestyle choices and preventive measures, we empower them to take control of their health and drive positive change within their communities.
