Empowering Youth Voices through the Client Satisfaction Scorecard

Empowering Youth Voices through the Client Satisfaction Scorecard

Copper Rose Zambia (CRZ) and Paediatric-Adolescent Treatment Africa (PATA) conducted a Client Satisfaction Scorecard orientation across various health facilities under the Youth Care Project.

The two organizations visited four? (4) health facilities in Kitwe starting with Luangwa Urban Clinic and Chambishi Clinic, where 10 peer educators per facility were trained with the healthcare providers to understand the scorecard questionnaire. The knowledge enables them to guide fellow youths in completing this important survey.

Key issues like consent and age were emphasized to ensure respondents feel comfortable and empowered to share their experiences as clients.

At CRZ, youth satisfaction matters! We are committed to ensuring young people receive quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services that meet their needs. Together, we are building healthier communities!

CRZ's MERL Team Conducts Successful Data Verification Exercise in Copperbelt

CRZ's monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) team and the communications team recently conducted a data verification exercise in the Copperbelt province. The team focused on the Youth Care project, reviewing activity registers and reports for the year.

The team, led by the MERL Officer Mike Mwale, met with the Advocacy and Health Promotions Program Officer, Emmanuel Kachakwale, to discuss the data verification process and ensure accuracy. The team then visited three project sites: Twatasha Urban Clinic, Kawama Urban Clinic, and Chambishi Urban Clinic.

During the site visits, the MERL team met with 10 peer educators from each site to discuss their experiences and challenges. The peer educators expressed gratitude for the training provided by CRZ and highlighted the positive impact it has had on their personal development.

Key Takeaways:

  • The MERL team gained valuable insights into the data collection and reporting processes.
  • Peer educators shared their experiences and challenges working in the field.
  • Recommendations were gathered to improve the effectiveness of future field activities.

The data verification exercise highlighted the crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data. We are grateful for the dedication and hard work of our peer educators, as they are the backbone of the work we do at CRZ.

Empowering Peer Educators through Income-Generating Activities at Nakonde Urban Clinic

Under CRZ’s USAID Family Health and Nutrition (FHN) project, peer educators at Nakonde Urban Clinic are making strides through innovative income-generating activities.

Instead of relying solely on facility support, the peer educators were encouraged to form a cooperative and venture into livestock and agricultural farming tapping into the Constituency Development Funds in their ward.

With support from the FHN team guided by the expertise of the facility’s Adolescent Health Focal Point Person, this was made possible. Their hard work has already paid off enabling them to sponsor one of their peers to university!

These efforts are part of a broader goal to inspire more youth and encourage other facilities and districts to follow suit.

Together, we are building a future where young people thrive, grow, and create sustainable solutions for themselves and their communities.
