Empowering Youth People for a more Secure Digital Tomorrow: Safer Internet Day 2024
On February 6, the Motion Picture Association (MPA) joined the 14th annual Safer Internet Day celebration, hosted by Childnet International . The conference focused on the importance of fostering a secure online environment and provided a platform for young digital leaders to share insights and initiatives.
The MPA is a proud supporter of Safer Internet Day because we love the enthusiasm and energy of the young people to make the internet a safer space for everyone. The event showcased a diverse range of perspectives, with an emphasis on engaging young people in shaping a positive digital future.
From the Scottish Capital building turning orange to school assemblies and interactive workshops, communities worldwide were engaged to raise awareness about online safety. The diverse array of activities and initiatives demonstrated a shared dedication to addressing the challenges faced by children and teenagers online, ranging from cyberbullying to privacy concerns.
Once again, we were impressed by the passion and dedication of the young participants who underscored the importance of involving the next generation in the ongoing dialogue on online safety. Together, we can create a safer and more enjoyable digital landscape for everyone.
