People buy from people!
People trust people!
Whether you are a team of two or have 100s or 1000s of employees, empowering them to build their personal brand and their network and showcase their thought leadership and expertise on LinkedIn can have tremendous benefits for them and for your company.
?Employee Advocacy on LinkedIn ( Building a Team of Brand Ambassadors on LinkedIn)?and leveraging LinkedIn as a Powerhouse for B2B Businesses?has been listed as some of the?biggest trends impacting digital marketing that can help grow your success in a recent Forbes Article.
Employee Advocacy on LinkedIn is when a company empowers its employees to effectively optimize and use their personal profiles to amplify the messages being put out on the company page as well as share their own voices.
I recently did a poll asking people to vote yes or no to the question "Do you check out employees' profiles and content on LinkedIn when you are looking at working for the company or doing business with them?" and 97% of the people who participated said yes. You can check out the poll and add your vote here.
"If I am going to work for a company, I am shamelessly stalking every team member I can find on LinkedIn to see tenure, backgrounds, posts, comments, industries, level, diversity on the team, etc etc etc.
It is life changing to have a great team who supports growth, works well together, and can become friends. We spend SO much time working, why not try and get a good picture before taking the leap to another company ?" - Morgan M. , Talent Acquisition at Flyr Labs

Over the years I have worked with many Fortune 500 companies, organizations and startups teams in the San Francisco Bay Area to promote their brand, services, products and job openings to my network through hosting events.
I have observed the amazing outcomes that happen when their employees work together to amplify their company's brand message on social media.
Last year, I also started working with organizations to train their employees in optimizing their profiles, create content, and be advocates for their company on LinkedIn.
This has been very exciting and rewarding work - empowering employees to leverage LinkedIn and become thought leaders as well as brand influencers.
One of my goals for 2023 is to work with more organizations to help them develop employee advocacy programs on LinkedIn.
And I am excited to kick off the New Year with this LinkedIn Audio Event:
Empowering Employees to be Brand Ambassadors on LinkedIn
Join me on Jan. 17th at 10am PST where I will chat with Cosmina Coman ? , Wendy van Gilst and Yvonne Boateng all experts in the area of employee advocacy on social media.

Why should 2023 be the year employers focus on employee advocacy on LinkedIn?
I askedd my three Li audio event guests this question. Here is what they had to say:
1."Now more than ever, is the golden opportunity to effectively activate your employee voices. Employee advocacy is a win-win-win situation for: 1) The company who builds a stronger brand image and reputation. 2) The individual who builds their brand & enhances their credibility. 3) The individual’s network who consumes helpful and educational content that informs." - Yvonne Boateng, Employee Advocacy Consultant
2. "One of the biggest challenges of employers in 2023 is undoubtably attracting the right talent and at the same time retaining the existing ones.
The efforts of attracting talent through classical methods like employer branding initiatives that are using marketing tactics have reached their limitations in communication due to their lack of uniqueness and authentic human voice. Most of the time the campaigns look the same, with just the corporate brand identity elements changed and selected employees’ faces put on some nice posters or videos with some quotes.
The talent that companies want to attract want more than this: they want to see people like them, their future colleagues, expressing themselves on LinkedIn consistently and with professional expertise and confidence. Because this would mean these employees feel valued and significant in their company.
This individual exposure of employees on social media gives companies the reach and credibility that few other communications or even recruiting efforts could get.
Even more, the “work from anywhere” policy increasingly adopted by employers force them to build their brand on various geographies where their employer branding efforts cannot reach, but employees with a well-connected and curated network plus a strong personal brand on LinkedIn could do wonders for attracting talent to their own companies." - Cosmina Coman, Managing Partner at Learning Pro
3. ?"Brand is more important that ever, and a strong brand is built on trust. Who better than your employees can build trust around your brand? People trust people!?" - Wendy van Gilst, Client Solutions Manager at LinkedIn.
