She also remains vocal about the situation for women and girls in Afghanistan and has been recognised for her efforts, including being featured on the TIME100 Next 2022 List. Malala’s advocacy work remains ongoing, and she continues to inspire with her dedication to creating a fairer future for all.


2. Leadership: Chloe Zhao

Chloé Zhao is a celebrated filmmaker from China. Her critically acclaimed film "Nomadland" was awarded at the Venice and Toronto International Film Festival in 2020. She was the first Asian woman to win the Best Director award at the Golden Globes. Her leadership is an inspiration, especially for women in the film industry. Her Golden Globe win highlights her achievement in breaking barriers. Zhao's films, such as "Nomadland," reflect her visionary storytelling, blending Eastern and Western influences. Her narratives' persistence, dedication, and emphasis on empathy and authenticity showcase a leadership style that values genuine connection. These traits underscore her success and encourage women worldwide to pursue their aspirations with confidence and resilience.


3. Innovation: Nguy?n Th? Kim Thanh

Nguy?n Th? Kim Thanh, a visionary in nanotechnology, has pioneered advancements with far-reaching benefits. Her work developing magnetic nanoparticles for cancer treatment revolutionises medicine, proving that scientific curiosity can lead to life-saving innovations. Nguy?n Th? Kim Thanh is a distinguished professor of Nanomaterials at UCL, and she received recognition for her contributions to nanotechnology and healthcare. She holds several prestigious awards and continues to innovate in her field.


4. Persistence: Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat

As Malaysia's first female Chief Justice, Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat embodies persistence. Her groundbreaking achievement in the legal system inspires women to aspire to positions of power in every field. As the Chief Justice of Malaysia, Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat has drawn attention to her decisions in significant cases. Her influence in the legal field has appointed her as the Chair of the Council of ASEAN Chief Justices.


5. Advocacy: Momoko Nojo

Momoko Nojo is a dynamic advocate for youth political participation and gender equality. Her notable #DontBeSilent campaign, which influenced leadership change in the Tokyo Olympics organisation, and the launch of the Fiftys Project to support diverse political candidates underscore her commitment to inclusivity. 6. Scientific Excellence: Canan Dagdeviren

Canan Dagdeviren is a trailblazer in materials science. Her work on wearable medical devices is a leap in scientific excellence and a stride towards a healthier future for all. Canan Da?deviren is an Associate Professor at MIT and leads the Conformable Decoders research group. Her work focuses on creating devices that can integrate with the human body for various medical applications.


7. Empowerment: Michelle Yeoh

Michelle Yeoh has taken the film industry by storm, using her platform to empower Asian women. Her acclaimed performances have garnered international recognition, showcasing the strength and versatility of Asian talent. Michelle Yeoh has become the first Asian woman to win an Academy Award in the Best Actress category. She has been elected to the International Olympic Committee as she seeks new challenges.


8. Sustainability: Anita Varshney

Anita V. is redefining corporate sustainability. At SAP, she is in charge of integrating ESG into business processes, demonstrating that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand. She is the Global VP of Strategy for SAP S/4HANA Sustainability. She is passionate about sustainable transformation and works towards economic empowerment and education for all.
