Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders : DUNIS Students Gain Insights at UNODC
On April 12, 2024, DUNIS students had the opportunity to visit the offices of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime ( UNODC ), where they were warmly welcomed by Dr. Amado Philip de Andres, UNODC Regional
Representative.
The aim of the visit was to develop their understanding of UNODC's crucial role within the United Nations, and to prepare them for their future careers. The students took part in an informative presentation on the work of UNODC and explored how the next generation can help reduce the impact of drugs on young people.
The simple but effective presentation highlighted the opportunities for student engagement and participation within UNODC. The experience reinforced the recognition of the importance of young people in promoting positive change.
Many thanks to Dr. Amado Philip de Andres and the entire UNODC team for an enriching day!
