I recently watched a training on goal setting by neuroscientist Andrew Huberman (I’m sharing the link to the training at the end of the article) and got inspired to share some simple steps to Get Started with helping our students with setting goals and achieving them.
We all want our students to dream big and reach for excellence.??
Ambitious goals can be a powerful motivator, igniting passion, fostering self-belief, and propelling them towards remarkable achievements.? However, for teenagers navigating the emotional rollercoaster of adolescence, aiming too high can sometimes lead to discouragement, frustration, and a crippling sense of failure.
So, the question becomes:?
How do we strike the right balance between encouraging students to dream big and setting them up for sustainable success?
The answer lies not just in setting ambitious goals, but in cultivating the essential skills and mindsets that empower them to achieve them.

1. Building a Growth Mindset:
2. Cultivating Resilience:
