Empowering Students for Placements – Insights from FDP
I recently attended a three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Empower and Elevate, which provided valuable insights into enhancing personal and professional skills. The sessions covered key topics such as storytelling video resumes, speed interviews, speed networking, and group discussions—each playing a crucial role in career readiness.
This experience has reinforced my belief in the importance of soft skills for students. As an educator, I am now better equipped to guide my students in refining their communication, networking, and interview strategies, ultimately boosting their placement prospects.
With these learnings, I aim to integrate practical exercises into my teaching, helping students build confidence and present themselves effectively in the competitive job market. Investing in such skill development will not only elevate their career opportunities but also empower them to adapt and thrive in professional environments.
