Empowering Product quality Over Supply Chain Management

These days, in the national construction industry, product quality over cost is a big challenge to address. More or less, a larger portion of production houses are having the same issues. It’s just a matter of fact that, being a service department from a quality perspective, very few people are able to put their claim on strong ground in spite of being truthful.

In most cases, the SCM team continues to deny the existence of adequate feedback and non-conformities about products from various business units.

Building strong key performance indicators of the SCM team (KPIs) connected to quality characteristics is the only practical way to ensure that "Quality will be everyone's responsibility" and prevent similar instances.

Although my country is changing, the habit of prioritizing quantity above quality remains in India. When faced with such a situation, it is common for a phony crisis to be manufactured in order to skirt the issue.

The negotiation skill gap between progress and effectiveness in supply chain management is where cost and resource constraints bully quality.

When we have strong quality and process governance in place and begin to prioritize the cost of rework and the rebuilt value of our brand image, the situation will begin to change.
