Empowering the next generation of women leaders in STEM
Women in STEM Leadership (WISL) is proud to announce an exciting partnership with the Irma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School in Fair Park, Dallas. This collaboration is a significant step in fulfilling WISL’s mission of empowering girls in STEM, from the classroom to the boardroom.
WISL was founded with the aim of advancing women into leadership roles within the traditionally male-dominated fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). We achieve this through various programs focused on leadership development, coaching, networking, and mentoring opportunities for women at all stages of their careers.
This summer, during the 7th-grade summer camp at the Irma Rangel YWLS campus, several WISL members will participate in an inspiring panel discussion. They will share firsthand accounts of navigating the dynamic landscape of STEM, discussing the obstacles they have overcome and the triumphs they have achieved. This event promises to provide valuable insights and motivation to young girls who aspire to pursue careers in STEM fields.
The Irma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School is a member of the Young Women's Preparatory Network (YWPN), the largest network of all-girls’, public, college-preparatory schools in the nation. With a strong STEM-focused curriculum, the majority of students at YWPN schools come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The core values of these schools are college readiness, leadership, and wellness life skills.

By sharing our stories and offering mentorship, we hope to ignite a passion for STEM in these students and empower them to become the future leaders of tomorrow.
