Empowering Local Economy: AMMAN and Narasa Indonesia’s Collaborative Effort to Boost SME and Tourism in West Sumbawa

To bolster micro, small, and medium enterprises (SME) and tourism in West Sumbawa, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN) has joined forces with traditional foods promoter Narasa Indonesia to provide training, mentoring, and business development programs for SME and local youth.

The SINERGI and SELARAS program has already empowered 32 SME and 15 young individuals in West Sumbawa. Participants have acquired valuable skills such as product certification, forming point-of-sales collaborations, re-branding, financial growth, intellectual property registration, and obtaining business legality.

AMMAN’s commitment to sustainability and the welfare of the local community is evident in this initiative. The company is dedicated to providing ongoing support to SME and youth in West Sumbawa, including additional guidance, advanced training, and access to business networks. The KSB regional government prioritizes the development of the MSME sector. This sector continues to grow, transforming local day-rate workers into independent entrepreneurs. According to the NTB Satu Data database, the number of MSME in KSB reached 7,829 (2021). This number significantly increased compared to the 6,042 MSME registered the previous year.
