Empowering the Khlong Toei Slum with Solar Energy - AESOLAR Initiates Public Welfare Project in Bangkok

In our ongoing mission to empower communities through renewable energy, AESOLAR made significant strides in Brazil last year by introducing a continuous supply of solar energy to a women's rights center. This year, we are excited to announce our latest initiative in Thailand, where we have donated a solar power station to the Red Skirt school in the Khlong Toei Slum, following an invitation from AERO and Bangkok Community Help Foundation (BCHF).

The Bangkok Community Help Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those in the most vulnerable communities in Bangkok. With a focus on education, health, and basic needs, BCHF has been a beacon of hope for many in the Khlong Toei slum. In May, BCHF, along with Global Travel Mate, inaugurated a community library in Khlong Toei, a project aimed at providing educational resources and a safe space for learning. Currently, they are assisting the tuition-free school in gaining official recognition from the Thai Ministry of Education, furthering their mission of empowering the underprivileged through education.

In July, AESOLAR was contacted by AERO, who shared the details of BCHF’s work and introduced us to this important project. After learning about their mission and the scope of their efforts, we were honored to support the community by sponsoring a self-consumption solar power station for the newly established library, contributing to the sustainable development of Khlong Toei.

AESOLAR’s Solar Power Station Donation

The solar power station we installed for the library consists of 18 AESOLAR N-Type TOPCon modules, METEOR, which recently ranked first in PV Magazine's outdoor energy yield test, showcasing their exceptional energy output. These modules are capable of generating over 14,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity?for the library?each year. Modules?were provided by our local distributor, EcoTech Part, and transported to the school, where AERO expertly handled the construction and installation. The system is designed for self-consumption, with any surplus electricity being fed back into the grid, providing additional income for the school?and community.

As Thailand experiences rapid economic growth and increasingly extreme weather conditions, electricity demand in residential areas is soaring. Additionally, Thailand’s energy mix is heavily reliant on natural gas, which accounts for nearly 60% of its total electricity generation. This dependency, coupled with rising electricity prices, places a significant burden on low-income families. By providing the Khlong Toei?library with a consistent and clean energy source, AESOLAR is helping to alleviate some of these pressures. The surplus energy generated by the solar power station will not only power the library but also provide extra income through the sale of excess electricity.

On the day of grid connection, we took the opportunity to further support the community by donating school supplies and solar-powered toys to the students. Our hope is that these small contributions can spark a greater interest in renewable energy and education among the children of Khlong Toei, inspiring them to dream big and work towards a brighter future.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to AERO Solar and Automation for introducing us to this impactful project and for their excellent work on the construction and installation. Our gratitude also goes to the Bangkok Community Help Foundation (BCHF) for their incredible efforts in supporting the Khlong Toei?community, to EcoTech Part for providing and delivering our solar modules, and a special thanks to Jeroen of Global Travel Mate, whose channel continues to raise awareness about important community initiatives like this one.

AESOLAR’s involvement in Khlong Toei?is more than just a donation; it is a step towards a sustainable future for one of Thailand’s most vulnerable communities. We are proud to partner with organizations like BCHF to bring positive change and look forward to continuing our work in empowering communities worldwide.

At AESOLAR, we aim to promote clean energy in every corner of the world while carrying the responsibility of green development and improving the environment. Along this journey, we hope to raise awareness of the power of sunlight—not just as a technology but as a better way of living. Fortunately, we often find like-minded partners along the way who share this vision.
