This month, Tonya emphasized the importance of World Asthma Day, urging the GAAPP community to share asthma resources and promote World Asthma Day communications to heighten awareness and education. Additionally, our leader highlighted the World Skin Health Coalition's efforts to reshape the global perspective on skin health, inviting members to join this transformative campaign.

The 2024 GAAPP Annual General Meeting and SAREAL

A pivotal event on our calendar, the GAAPP 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), will adopt a hybrid format, accommodating both in-person and virtual participants. Scheduled to be held at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Santiago, Chile, the AGM will seamlessly transition into SAREAL 2024, fostering discussions and collaborations among members worldwide. This approach not only embraces our global reach but also accommodates the diverse needs of our community.

World Asthma Day 2024: Empowerment Through Education

Under the theme "Asthma Education Empowers," GAAPP is launching a communication grant to support disseminating asthma resources. We aim to empower individuals globally with knowledge and tools to manage asthma effectively. We encourage our community to contribute resources and apply for the grant to amplify their impact.

Get Involved: Championing Skin Health

The World Skin Health Coalition, with GAAPP as a proud partner, is spearheading an initiative to elevate skin health on the global health agenda. Members can join this influential movement by signing the open letter, advocating for policy changes, and increasing awareness of skin diseases and conditions.

Spotlight on Success: HAP Carabobo’s Initiative

In Venezuela, HAP Carabobo has set a remarkable precedent with its comprehensive community care system for respiratory diseases. Their dedication and innovative approach have made significant strides in patient care, showcasing the profound impact of focused healthcare initiatives.

GAAPP is excited to announce a new section on our website, offering an extensive collection of nonperishable resources for education, advocacy, awareness, and digital health. Our advocacy spans 19 pathologies related to allergy, atopic, and airway diseases, underlining our comprehensive approach to global health. Furthermore, our collaborations have led to the publication of over 30 papers and the support of numerous multi-stakeholder projects, amplifying our influence and outreach.
