Recognizing the pivotal role of effective English communication in our global organization, particularly considering our significant presence in Vietnam, clear and concise communication is crucial for fostering collaboration, enhancing productivity, and ensuring overall team success.

TymeX consistently enhances our team's English proficiency through tailored training programs and community engagement projects. The partnership with ELSA Speak, an AI-powered speech recognition platform, has played a key role in the success of these initiatives. Additionally, we've established an internal English community aimed at fostering collaboration and supporting a conducive learning and practicing environment. This initiative encourages active participation and facilitates idea exchange, utilizing a blend of online and offline channels to shape an English-focused workplace adaptable to our hybrid working model.


  • Just 15 Minutes A Day To Form Lasting Learning Habits

To cultivate learners' long-lasting learning habits, TymeX has partnered with ELSA Speak to enhance our English training program. This partnership offers our team members access to tailored daily lessons that focus on improving pronunciation, fluency, and intonation. By dedicating a minimum of 15 minutes daily to English practice, team members can proactively develop their language skills. The ELSA Speak app provides personalized feedback, allowing individuals to craft their learning journey based on their unique needs and interests.

It goes beyond curriculum delivery by incorporating progress tracking. Through the ELSA Speak app, our team members engage in daily English practice, fostering a habit of consistent learning and growth. This self-driven approach empowers individuals to take control of their learning and tailor it to their specific goals. The partnership with ELSA Speak ensures that TymeX team members have the necessary tools and support to improve our English proficiency continuously.


  • Engaging Through Gamification: Fueling Growth Through Contests

To infuse fun into the learning process, we have introduced interactive contests as part of our English training program. These contests, such as the Elsa Contest and the TymeX English Speaking Contest, provide team members with opportunities to challenge themselves, express their perspectives, and enhance their English-speaking skills.

The TymeX Speaking Contest, with a TEDxTalk format, aims to empower our employees' learning spirit while aligning with Tyme’s core value of improving. This contest offers a platform for our team members to showcase their English-speaking skills, with a variety of topics to choose from. By participating in the TymeX Speaking Contest, employees can enhance their confidence and fluency in English communication.


With Elsa Contest: Oxford Business Result Hunt, participants engaged in a 28-day challenge on the ELSA App, dedicating at least 15 minutes daily. The contest witnessed the active participation of over 90 contestants, resulting in a collective increase of 430 hours and 12,607 lessons compared to the previous period. This success of the Elsa Contest demonstrates the effectiveness of gamification in engaging learners and improving their English communication skills.


By incorporating gamification and engagement initiatives, TymeX transforms the learning process into an interactive and enjoyable experience. These initiatives drive active participation and foster improved English communication skills among team members through healthy competition.

  • Results and Impact: Empowering Through Language

Throughout the training period from August 2022 to December 2023, significant progress was observed among participants. Notably, 60% of learners consistently engaged in the 0–5% improvement range each month, demonstrating their active commitment to skill enhancement. Additionally, nearly 46% of participants experienced substantial growth in their English skills, notably elevating their improvement ratio within the 11–50% bracket. Initially, a remarkable 4% of participants achieved proficiency growth exceeding 70%, as measured against their entry test results.


This progression showcases the effectiveness of our training efforts and the team's dedication to improving their English. This continuous momentum, driven by daily practice, not only ignites our team's interest in learning but also boosts confidence in workplace communication, elevating their English proficiency levels for more effective interactions. Furthermore, our internal survey revealed positive feedback from English learners, rating their observed improvement in English skills at 4.15 out of 5 and their learning experience with ELSA at 3.89 out of 5.
