Empowering Girls Globally - Our Impact

?Our work at Power to Girls Foundation is deeply personal and driven by the genuine desire to uplift and support young girls facing challenges that my team and I, have experienced firsthand.
It all started with a gathering of six girls in a small church in Etobicoke, where we came together to encourage and uplift one another. Fast forward to today, and I couldn't be prouder to say that Power to Girls Foundation has directly impacted over 5000 girls, empowering them to pursue their dreams and overcome the obstacles in their paths.
Our approach to empowerment is holistic, encompassing a range of initiatives to ensure we cater to the unique needs of each individual. From in-school programs and conferences to our technology platform, My Power App , and direct aid, we believe in offering diverse avenues of support.
We launched the #PowerFund in response to the challenges girls were facing in gaining economic freedom. This fund aims to support girls in pursuing higher education or entrepreneurship, enabling them to be economically empowered. So far, we have provided scholarships to four remarkable young women, helping them pursue their dreams of higher education, and we've also provided seed funding to four girls who started their own small businesses. Together, we've invested $5,000.00 in empowering young women in Ghana.
The pandemic brought unique challenges, particularly affecting the mental well-being of girls, with increased cyberbullying and overwhelming social media content. As a result, we launched a helpline to provide additional support and a listening ear to the girls within our community. Over time, this helpline evolved into My Power App —a holistic space for girls everywhere to stay connected, seek empowerment, and find a mentor. Today, we're proud to have users across the world in Canada, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and beyond, and we are continually expanding our user base to create a global impact.
Our work is personal because we are not just observers. We listen to our girls and understand their experiences because we have been there ourselves. We believe that this personal touch and understanding are what sets us apart, allowing us to create meaningful and lasting change in the lives of the girls we serve.

With this, I am excited to reveal the new logos of Power to Girls, symbolizing the beginning of an exciting new chapter. As we move forward, we aspire to reach even more girls, touch more lives, and create a brighter and more empowered future for the generations to come.
