Empowering Futures: Sanneh Foundation Partner Spotlight

As I’ve shared in past articles, today’s ever-evolving labor market requires finding and nurturing talent beyond traditional recruitment methods. We need to continue to build a resilient, inclusive, and empowered workforce from the ground floor. This is why I am excited to spotlight the amazing work being done by The Sanneh Foundation .?

As you read this spotlight, try to see the connective tissue between sourcing social responsibility partnerships that support the next generation and how this is all linked to long-term talent strategies for our region. It’s not a nice-to-have, and we all need to come together as a business community to support such programs.?

The Sanneh Foundation, founded by Tony Sanneh , former professional soccer player and St. Paul native, has been at the forefront of empowering youth, improving lives, and uniting communities across the Twin Cities. Their mission and values resonate deeply with us at Andersen, where we believe in not just building windows, but opening doors to opportunities for the next generation.

The foundation’s work in educational support, health and wellness, and community building lays a solid foundation for holistic youth development. By addressing the range of social determinants that affect youth empowerment and community well-being, The Sanneh Foundation’s programs are directly in line with our aim to foster a diverse and skilled talent pool for the future.

And how did this amazing partnership foster? By simply coordinating a visit to their complex, and getting to know Tony even better. Yes, it’s that simple.?

Andersen CEO, Chris Galvin , joined me as we had the opportunity to learn more about the impact Sanneh Foundation is having on our community.?

It became instantly apparent that Andersen Corporation had to find ways to support their work. We learned how their programs teach resilience, teamwork, leadership, and other soft skills that are absolutely vital in the professional world. Anytime we can form well-rounded youth as a community, we all win. Plain and simple.?

And just recently, Andersen had the privilege of being a major sponsor at the Gala 4Goals, an event that showcased the incredible impact of The Sanneh Foundation's work on our community. It was a much needed night of inspiration, as we celebrated the achievements and progress of the children and adolescents who have benefited from the foundation’s mentorship, nutritional programs, and educational support.

By supporting organizations like The Sanneh Foundation, we are investing in the future leaders of our community and, by extension, our future workforce. These young individuals bring with them fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a drive that can only be nurtured through programs that emphasize caring, compassion, and excellence.

The real success stories, however, are not ours to tell. They belong to the youth who have found new paths to success through The Sanneh Foundation’s programs. From the soccer fields to the classrooms, these young people are developing the skills, confidence, and determination they need to pursue their dreams and make positive contributions to their communities.
