Empowering Female Entrepreneurs:
The Top 3 Questions to Ask for Achieving Success!

Empowering Female Entrepreneurs: The Top 3 Questions to Ask for Achieving Success!

Starting a business is tough, especially as a woman. As a female entrepreneur and business coach, I totally get it. I know firsthand the challenges of feeling successful as a woman in the business world.?

After working in marketing for over 15 years, I absorbed the idea that I needed to change myself to fit the mold of a successful woman - new personality, power suit, and even a new voice box! But let me tell you, that's not the way to success.

So, if you're a #fempreneur , I want you to know that you are worth it! I often get asked questions from my fellow lady bosses, and I'd like to share them with you.

The three main questions:?

  1. Firstly, "Am I a respected business owner?"?

If you asked your most important people to say something about you as a female entrepreneur, what would you love to hear?

This question asks you to come back to your intention and the energy you are putting behind your business. It also helps you to explore the external and internal driving forces behind why you do what you do. We can also examine any female entrepreneur stereotypes that may be influencing your answers and help you become aware of them.

  • E.g. Do you want to be accepted by someone or a group of people? Do you want to prove that you can do something you feel other people don’t think you can? (External)
  • Or, do you want to finally give yourself the gift of doing what you really want? Do you want to do it because it means you could have more control over your time and energy? (Internal).?

It’s important to say that this is not about changing any of your drivers, but becoming aware of them, where they come from, and being mindful of what you do with that information.

2. Secondly, "Do I have enough skills?"

It is a truth, that women have less confident than men. Is it the impostor syndrome or a natural tendency to be cautious? The fact is that women are more reserved than men when asked about their chances of success. Men are 72.4% confident or very confident in their success; women 65.3%.

It's natural to question yourself, but remember that entrepreneurship is all about learning and growing. You don't have to have all the answers right away. By adopting a mindset where failure is not possible, you open yourself up to what is possible, what is holding you back.

Think about the next: what you would choose if anything was possible?

3. Lastly, "Why would someone invest in me?"

This is a simple one. Just come back to your original why. Revisit the excitement and passion you felt when you first thought about starting your own business. Remember the change you wanted to make in the world and the things that make you unique.

Yes, I'll admit that raising money as a female entrepreneur is a bit harder than it is for men. But investors are looking for innovative ideas and talented leaders who can bring those ideas to life. And as a female entrepreneur, you bring a unique perspective to the table that can set your business apart. So don't be afraid to showcase your strengths and pitch your ideas confidently.

At the end of the day, I want to encourage you to believe in yourself and your abilities. You are capable of achieving great things, and I can't wait to see what you accomplish! Remember that success looks different for everyone, and it's okay to embrace your own version of it.
