Empowering Environmental Responsibility: SAS Foundation's E-Waste Collection Drive

In a commendable effort towards environmental sustainability, Swavalamban Avam Swabhimaan Foundation (SAS Foundation) recently organized an E-Waste Collection Drive in collaboration with Attero . This initiative, held at Ranjit Vihar 2 in Sec 23, Dwarka, witnessed a remarkable turnout of residents and volunteers, underscoring the community's commitment to a cleaner future.

Led by Dr. Nitin Saini and Gaurav Agarwal, CSM from SAS Foundation, along with Arjun Tiwari representing Attero, the drive exemplified the power of collective action in addressing pressing environmental challenges. Residents of Ranjit Vihar 2 and neighboring societies actively participated, demonstrating a growing awareness of the importance of e-waste recycling.

The collaboration with Attero Recycling Pvt Ltd, India's largest electronic asset management company, added significant expertise to the drive. Attero's dedication to developing eco-friendly reuse and recycling solutions for electronics resonated well with the mission of SAS Foundation, further amplifying the impact of the initiative.

The success of the drive owes much to the support extended by RWA President, Mridul ji, whose endorsement helped mobilize community participation. Additionally, the contributions of the e-waste donors cannot be overstated. Their willingness to responsibly dispose of electronic items, ranging from smartphones to household appliances, reflects a shared commitment to environmental stewardship.

Noteworthy was the enthusiastic involvement of volunteers like Rajat Rathore , Keshav Gupta from TCS, and Shresth Agarwal , a student of BGS International Public School - India . Their dedication and passion underscored the importance of youth engagement in driving positive change within communities.

In total, the drive collected 55 electronic items and approximately 90 kgs of miscellaneous electronic waste, showcasing the tangible impact of collective action in tackling e-waste pollution.

As we reflect on the success of this endeavor, SAS Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to Attero Recycling Pvt Ltd for their collaboration, RWA presidents for their unwavering support, and the e-waste donors and volunteers for their invaluable contributions. Together, we reaffirm our commitment to environmental responsibility and pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future.
