In order to make conscious choices, it’s essential to set boundaries. This means being clear about what we are willing to accept and what we are not. Boundaries help us manage our expectations and prevent unnecessary disappointments. When we set boundaries, we communicate our needs and desires, which in turn helps us build stronger relationships with others.
Disappointments are inevitable, but how we respond to them is what matters. By discerning our disappointments, we can learn from them and develop resilience. Reflecting on our disappointments helps us understand what went wrong and how we can improve in the future. It also allows us to recognize patterns in our behaviour, thoughts, and emotions that may be holding us back from living our best life.

This can lead them to prioritize the expectations of others over their own needs and desires.
The inclination to prioritize the expectations of others over one’s own well-being is influenced not only by psychological factors but also social and cultural ones. For example, certain cultures may place a high value on conformity and obedience, which can make it difficult for individuals to assert their own needs.
