Thanks to SPAN Digital’s Charity Squad, we had the privilege of hosting NSRI at our Cape Town office which was nothing short of inspiring.

Renée Leeuwner, the heart and soul of NSRI’s Community Fundraising, graced us with her presence and shared some profound insights on NSRI. For over half a century these amazing volunteers have been the champions of environmental protection, saviors of lives, and architects of a brighter future.? Their impact extends far beyond rescue operations off South Africa’s coast; it also encompasses education, drowning prevention, first aid, and firefighting. We were so inspired by Renee’s story that SPAN Digital’s Charity Squad is now a sponsor with NSRI’s Pink Rescue Buoy initiative, an award-winning program focused on drowning prevention.? These buoys aren’t just pretty in pink; they’re strategically placed in areas that if no lifeguards are on duty, their bright pink hue makes them easy to spot for use as emergency flotation until help arrives. Bottom line: these buoyant beacons of hope save lives, and serve as a symbol of safety and unity.
