Almost 1 in 2 Australians will hear the words, ‘you have cancer’ in their lifetime —
2023 marks the 37th year of Daffodil Day in Australia, through buying fresh daffodils to show your support, you are raising vital funds for cancer research. Thanks to investment in research, amazing advancements have been made in cancer prevention, screening and treatment, helping to increase survival rates from 51% in the late 1980s to around 70% today.
Cancer Council is the only charity that works across every area of every cancer, from research to prevention and support. They help people from the point of diagnosis through to their treatment and beyond. Together, it’s all of us against cancer.
Why the Daffodil?
The Daffodil is one of the first flowers to bloom after Winter here in Australia. This is why it has become a symbol of hope for people with cancer. Buying a bunch of Daffodils means funding lifesaving cancer research, so that hope can truly bloom.
From August 28th until August 31st you can purchase one of our limited-edition 'Blooms for Good' Bouquets or simply donate at the checkout to help fund Cancer Councils vital work. Go to dailyblooms.com.au to send hope and donate today.
