Remote working has always been my preferred work pattern, primarily because of the flexibility it affords me; so it wasn't difficult transitioning into the Norebase’s remote system..

Before Norebase, I had always been the one client per time kind of person, primarily because I was deeply involved in academic research writing and believed that customer satisfaction is key. I would rather deliver effectively on one client than lump together a large number of clients without providing excellent services.

Joining the Norebase team and managing multiple clients felt like a challenge, but I was up for it. I saw it as an opportunity to develop myself.?

It’s amazing how much I’ve been able to achieve with the aid of technology, especially working with bots and other technologies to achieve our goals.

I’ve learnt a lot on the technical side of the job, but nothing thrills me more than receiving a “thank you” from a satisfied client. They make me feel like a hero, as if I've helped them achieve the best thing ever. Sometimes, I can hear the joy in their voices when they express their gratitude to me. It’s exciting!

As a Global Expansions expert at Norebase, I ensure that clients have a smooth process incorporating their business with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria. This includes businesses established abroad seeking to expand their business horizon to Nigeria.

I’ve realised that Norebase’s clients require one thing. An answer. A solution. Especially when it comes to the legal requirements for their business establishment. Daily I get asked questions about names that can be approved for businesses, business objects and their suitable categories, budget requirements for incorporation and more. Being available to provide those answers without becoming exasperated or flustered, is a skill I am honing effectively on the job. I am proud of it.

A client once commented, “Lawyer, the reason I like to talk to you is that you take your time to listen and answer all my questions.” Again, I am proud of it.?

Engaging with our clients has uncovered skills I didn’t know I possessed. Using technology to file business name transactions via the portal was new to me. With one click, I send these transactions to the bot and ensure seamless transition to the CAC.

I’ve also been able to adapt my communication style when clients find my formal English or legal jargon confusing, now my proficiency in pidgin English has improved and I communicate effectively with clients.?

Overall, this past year has been an amazing sojourn helping business owners birth their dreams of establishment.

I must say that I wouldn’t have been able to achieve these feats without the aid of my team. In a remote environment, where we don’t see each other daily, the support is truly inspiring. It reflects their dedication, team spirit, and trust in our shared goals - to ensure that our clients are well established for their businesses.
