Women PowerUP Network - Admin
A global network of individuals where we believe everyone has some unique skill. We just PowerUP!
Who are we?
A global network of individuals who believe that everyone has some unique skill. We just PowerUP! We consist of a group of passionate individuals (of all genders) who are positive, with make-it-happen and lead-by-example attitudes. A peer-to-peer network to support and PowerUP each other! Do I need to be an expert to be a part of this group? NO. We just need to be good enough. Good enough to own up to our limitations, be willing to respond to others, and be social and acceptable.
LEADER'S SPEAK?-?Priya Patra
“This is a new year. A new beginning. And things will change.”― Taylor Swift
And Things have changed indeed!?Just when we thought we have been coming back to normalcy, came the news of a virus outbreak, cost pressures at our workplace, and a looming recession.
I have been for sure engaged in the process of introspection, retrospection, and prospection last month.
Asking myself, how do I excel as a leader in these difficult times?
And I would like to share my personal opinion. From my personal experience, it has a lot to do with your GOAL ( s)
G – Go and Get it – Just do it! Don’t wait for tomorrow, act now!
O – Be Optimistic – Optimism motivates one toward success,?
A – Accept failures – Failure is the stepping stone to success, accept them
L - Learn and Improve – Analyse the failures, as long as we learn from them, there is nothing called failure.
I am confident if we set and follow our GOAL( s) we will Re: Emerge stronger than ever!
What else do you think we need to develop or focus on as leaders to continue our Re: Emergence to excellence? Let us know.

SPECIAL FEATURE- Leading Projects with Data: Overcome Behavioral and Cultural Barriers to Unlock the Hidden Value of Data in Projects
The role data plays in decision-making across all levels of organizations has never been more significant. And there are signs that its significance is likely to continue increasing for some time. Organizations are transforming business areas into data-driven practices to make better and faster decisions and respond accurately to fast-changing market behaviors and demands.
With data analytics and intelligent technology on the rise to improve organizational decision-making, project management as a discipline cannot be left behind when adopting data-driven practices. But getting there is less about technology and primarily about building a cultural foundation, new behaviors by project professionals, and a new mindset, culture, and environment that enable data and analytics to unleash their capabilities to shift project performance to new heights.
Project management professionals, stakeholders, sponsors, and project decision-makers in general need to become data literate which requires the right engagement from people through sound purpose, as well as new and adjusted behaviors and processes in project work, to ensure that data and analytics effectively integrate and add on to existing project management knowledge, and enhance project’s capabilities to deliver genuine and consistent business value.
In this book, Marcus Glowasz argues the urgent need to employ data and analytics for improved project performance while doing a deep-dive into the different cultural and behavioral aspects that are blocking the progress towards data-driven project management.?
Leading Projects with Data is full of actionable insights to drive the behaviors and culture shifts necessary to ensure a successful transition to data-driven project delivery practices, and can be considered a starting point to future-proof project management practice
