BB: What inspired you to start your cleaning company, and how did your journey as a single mother influence this decision?
CA: Starting my cleaning company was deeply inspired by my journey as a single mother. I needed a career path that would allow flexibility to support my family and also offer the opportunity to build something of my own. I wanted to show my children that with determination, we could create a stable and successful life.
BB: What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered while starting your business, and how did you overcome them?
CA: One of the biggest challenges was finding clients who valued quality over low prices. It took time, persistence, and a lot of networking to build a client base that trusted my services. I overcame these challenges by always delivering high-quality work and being consistent. Over time, word-of-mouth and referrals helped my business grow.
BB: How did you establish your brand identity in the cleaning industry, and what steps did you take to differentiate your services from competitors?
CA: Establishing my brand identity was about more than just a name and logo; I focused on creating a reputation for reliability and high standards. I differentiated my services by focusing on a personalized approach and transparent communication, which helped set my business apart from competitors.
BB: As a single mother, how do you manage the demands of running a business while ensuring you’re present for your family?
CA: Balancing the demands of running a business and being there for my family is never easy. I prioritize by setting a schedule that aligns with my family’s needs and making time for quality moments with my children. I also delegate tasks when I can, which allows me to focus on what matters most in both my work and family life.
?BB: Can you share how your experience has shaped your desire to mentor other women, and what resources or programs you’ve developed to support them?
CA: My experience as a business owner has inspired me to mentor other women, especially those navigating similar paths. I’ve developed resources like one-on-one coaching sessions and group mentoring programs to help other women build their businesses with confidence. Sharing knowledge and offering guidance has become one of my biggest passions.
BB: In what ways do you believe women can lead and innovate within the cleaning industry, and how do you see yourself contributing to that change?
CA: Industry Leadership I believe women can lead and innovate within the cleaning industry by introducing new standards and fostering community over competition. I aim to contribute to this change by continuously supporting and empowering other women in the industry through mentorship and creating resources tailored to their unique challenges.
?BB: What advice would you give to other single mothers considering starting their own business, particularly in a challenging industry like cleaning?
CA: For single mothers considering starting a business, my advice would be to believe in your vision and take small, consistent steps. It can feel overwhelming, but trust in the process and surround yourself with a support network that encourages and uplifts you.
BB: What are your future goals for your cleaning company and your mentoring platform, and how do you envision continuing to break barriers for women in entrepreneurship?
CA: I want to expand both my cleaning company and my mentoring platform. I envision developing more accessible resources for women in the industry and continuing to break barriers in entrepreneurship. My goal is to inspire more women to step into leadership roles and create fulfilling careers.
