Empower Your Marketing Point Person

Empower Your Marketing Point Person

Hello Friends,

I’m hearing from many of you, that your vision for your organization includes growing revenue, entering new markets, elevating your brand, or expanding who you serve. With growth comes growing pains and the need for your current team to do more. To be more efficient, clients are feeling the need to outsource all or part of their marketing stack. The assumption is if they outsource 100% of the marketing, then they don't have to think about it because someone else is doing it.

Here’s the problem with that approach. People tend to be disappointed when they realize that they cannot completely hand it off to someone on the outside. Even if an agency is doing?most?of the marketing, there still has to be someone inside your organization who is leading the charge and keeping an eye on the goal the marketing is working towards achieving.?

A marketing and branding strategy that's working well and getting results for you does require an investment of your time to some degree. Here at Novella, our best client relationships have always been when we work with a person running point on marketing and support them in a way that best serves them. Sometimes that means we’re doing 90% of the marketing/branding work and other times it's 50/50 or 30% Novella and 70% client.

In today’s newsletter, we dive more into this challenge explaining how to set up your organization with a marketing point person and leveraging an ad agency to help you as your business grows and scales. We also give you a peek at our design process.?

Enjoy!

Five Ways Your Marketing Team Can Work Best with An Agency

As your organization scales and you navigate different growth levels, you may be forced to embrace a broader view of marketing. The marketing landscape is always changing and evolving. As new channels emerge, consumer habits shift and managing data becomes the lifeblood of success, harnessing these trends presents a unique opportunity.

If your vision includes growing revenue, building new categories, entering new markets, elevating your brand, or changing your business model, then you need a marketing point person leading the way. This is crucial because there needs to be someone on the inside who is responsible for marketing meeting goals and objectives. Your person running point should possess strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to build a high-performing team empowering them with outside expert help.?
