The solutions partner designations available in the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program offer a range of benefits to partners who qualify. To be eligible, partners must achieve a partner capability score based on their performance, skilling, and customer success. Partners with appropriate roles, such as Global Admin or MPN Partner Admin, can track their progress towards achieving any Solutions partner designation through the Solutions partner dashboard in Partner Center. With six different designations available, partners can align themselves with a specific solution area, whether it's business applications, data and AI, digital and app innovation, infrastructure, security, or modern work.
Qualifying for Microsoft Solutions Partner Designations:
To become a solutions partner in the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program, your organization must achieve a certain partner capability score. This score is based on your performance, skilling, and customer success and is calculated using data already captured in Partner Center. As a partner with the MPN admin role, you can track your progress towards achieving any Solutions partner designation on the Solutions partner dashboard in Partner Center. The Benefits of Earning a Solutions Partner Designation
Achieving Solutions partner designation is possible for both new partners and existing gold or silver partners. If you hold a legacy gold or silver membership and meet the new qualification requirements, you'll automatically earn the new Solutions partner designation and associated customer-facing badging without any extra payment. This automatic enrollment doesn't affect your anniversary date or existing benefits. On your membership renewal date, you'll have the option to opt for new Solutions partner designation benefits or continue with legacy gold or silver benefits. Note that legacy competencies and associated badges are no longer valid, but you'll retain your legacy benefits until your next anniversary date.
Joining the Solutions Partner Program: A Guide for New Microsoft Partners
As a new partner to Microsoft, or if your legacy gold or silver membership has expired, it's important to meet the requirements of the Solutions Partner designation before enrolling in the Solutions Partner Program. A daily check is run to determine if any partners meet the qualification requirements, and if so, they can purchase membership by making a payment. Your options for purchasing or renewing membership depend on whether or not you meet the new qualification requirements during the renewal cycle. If you do qualify, you can purchase new Solutions Partner benefits or opt for legacy gold or silver benefits. If you don't meet the requirements, you can make a purchase for legacy benefits (without the badge) within 30 days after your anniversary date, but if you miss this window, your existing benefits will expire, and you'll need to qualify for the Solutions Partner designation requirements to make any purchase in the future.
