There are many articles and analysis claiming gap between formal college education and organizational needs, although this divide may vary depending on the field and industry. I thought of writing this article not to validate or discuss on the divide but provide some insights to students to address this divide and be employment ready.

While educational institutions always aim to provide students with a broad foundation of knowledge and skills, but one of the key challenge they may face is the ability to to keep pace with the rapidly changing needs of the job market. Organizations, on the other hand, may have specific requirements that are not always fully met by traditional college curriculam. This can lead to a mismatch between what students learn in college and what employers need from them. However, many colleges and organizations are working together to bridge this gap by offering practical training and experiential learning opportunities that better prepare students for the workforce.

Here are top five steps a student can take to overcome and address this divide and be employment ready:
