Generative AI, like ChatGPT, is revolutionizing the world with its diverse applications in workplaces.

While the advantages are evident, it's crucial for companies to be aware of 4 associated risks:

?? Generative AI can occasionally make mistakes, be it due to input errors or other factors, making it risky to solely rely on it for critical information.

?? Consider carefully whether the software aligns with a customer’s specific needs, especially when tailored advice is required.

?? Incorrect management of generative AI can lead to unreliable work output, emphasizing the importance of proper oversight.

?? It's worth noting that certain types of generative AI may only utilise a database up until a certain date.

Remember to stay informed and prioritise careful consideration when leveraging generative AI in your workplace. Learn more on this ever-changing topic here - https://lnkd.in/4G0r4+

5th Episode of Case Notes

A new monthly employment law podcast where a tribunal/court decision (chosen by the podcasters) is considered and the commercial implications of that decision for employers and HR professionals are discussed.

The matter this month is…. Mrs K Higgs v Farmors School, 16 June 2023.

An Employment Appeal Tribunal decision on a potentially discriminatory reason for dismissal, the protected characteristic being belief, and the manifestation of a belief as opposed to the belief itself.

Plus a review of the right to freedom of speech, where an employer has to manage a conflict in the protection of protected characteristics and how that is relevant to employment law and HR practice.

We are taking the complexity of employment law and applying a practical mindset, with the aim of highlighting important points to learn and ways to improve. Case Notes is presented by our Partners Susanna Rynehart and SHONA NEWMARK .
