Employee's story: career start in TrainingData as a project manager
I joined TrainingData team as a Junior project manager, having no experience in leading data markup projects. At my previous job, I’ve been involved in marketing projects.
It was scary to start new career in a completely new niche. Nevertheless I found it challenging in a fun way.
My TrainingDara journey has started with onboarding and corporate education. My team lead (operations manager) showed me all tools, trained to label and annotated in various services. HR manager helped to form my team of accessors and passed on corporate communication culture. Basically I was ready to launch project in a week and my first project did not take long to wait. I should say that whole teem performed tight-knit and all the learning processes were perfectly organised. I was so excited to start!
My first project was to label cars’ license plates.
I was given complete freedom in the format of my work and approach: “the most important thing is the result”. I knew that my team supports me and will assist any help I would possibly ask for. In fact I played it cool and built the whole workflow of my first test (pilot) almost independently. TrainingData corporate culture encourages proactivity in solving tasks in close contact with the customer.
Well, when you do something for the first time, in my case markup, it's hard not to make a mistake.

I was told that every mistake is just an opportunity to understand what exactly our customer wants as a result. However we must minimise any kind of miscommunication and technical inaccuracies.
I remember when my team lead sent me a file with project’s errors, where there were only a few of them, I was glad that I was able to make my first test project pretty good!
Therefore, we accept our mistakes with honor, because we learn from them, and we know how to correct them quickly.
After completing the project with 46 0000 photos it seemed to me that I training myself as a neural network to detect every car plate I see walking down the street. Moreover I mentally marked them into a polygon. Looks like I have acquired a kind of?professional deformation.
As a result I finished on time, got 8/10 NPS score and started to form a database of assessors with whom I would like to continue working on my other projects. Data Labelling no longer seems to be something scary and unknown. Now I have been working at TrainingData for 4 months - a little bit, but I am definitely determined to move on!
