Employees Show Support for North American President Jared Rowntree at TinCaps Game

Over 100 employees from the shared Superior Essex campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana gathered at Parkview Field on Sunday to cheer on Essex Furukawa North American President, Jared Rowntree , as he threw the opening pitch at the Fort Wayne TinCaps game. The enthusiastic crowd also witnessed a thrilling 'come from behind' victory, 8-7 over the Lake County Captains, making it a truly memorable day for the group.?

The event marked the beginning of a season-long partnership between the company and the TinCaps, as it proudly sponsors the 'Power of the Pitch' initiative, tracking the miles-per-hour of each pitch on the scoreboard. Superior Essex regularly invests in the community, and it innovates with the speed of a major league fastball.

The team of employees added to the electric atmosphere at Parkview Field. Their unwavering support and infectious enthusiasm undoubtedly fueled the TinCaps' remarkable comeback, as they scored six runs in their last two trips to the plate, overcoming a 7-2 deficit.

The TinCaps are the High-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres and had some of the best prospects in the organization on the field Sunday. Ethan Salas is a 17-year-old catcher that has been ranked as the No.8 overall prospect in all of baseball. Homer Bush Jr., patrols centerfield for the team and is the No. 11 player in the San Diego farm system, and Brandon Nett was the starting pitcher for the game on Sunday; he is ranked as the No. 22 prospect for the team.
