Employee's Diaries - Meet BrieAnna

I joined Lumen (officially) in 2021 after beta-testing the product in its early stages years ago.

My love of fitness and need for knowledge has inevitably created a fit-tech fanatic. Although I’ve tested, worn, or implanted every wearable in the wellness space, historically, my professional career was rooted in Tech Sales and Customer Success.

To be frank, I was never certain if there was a way for me to truly combine my professional and personal life, so instead, I pursued never-ending side hustles to feed my passion. I willingly put in hours outside of work… for more work… becoming a Certified Sports Nutritionist, Certified Wellness and Nutrition Educator, Certified Personal Trainer, and Spinning Instructor.

The wildest part is that it never felt like work. Engaging in something I truly loved, inspired me – it made me feel my most authentic self.

It made me happy. The exploring led me towards quite a few paths; some easy, some I’m still slightly recovering from. But the best part about this journey has been the ability to identify what sets my soul on fire, which apparently is helping people accomplish their wellness goals. We are all capable of accomplishing hard things.

Teaching people that their Nutrition and Fitness goals are completely possible, has been the greatest joy of my journey. Showing individuals that the power of their mind fuels the success of their body and that limits do not exist is what drives me. Understanding that Nutrition is rooted in personal stories – but teaching people that we get to rewrite the narrative in our favor whenever we want – is what excites me.

Achieving something hard requires discipline, but not deprivation.?I am passionate about sharing this with people to help them live their healthiest life. When the Tech Startup I was putting my 9-5 in was acquired in 2021, it was a sign that I was ready to make the shift.

It was a scary time to a certain degree, but it was a no-brainer to knock on Lumen’s door. I was greeted with a warm and familiar welcome (back) as I entered the company in a CS role - the first within our US operations.

Lumen has not only allowed me to explore my passion on a daily basis, but they share the same mission with me: To make this world a healthier place.

Each day I get up and share a space with like-minded people who are equally as passionate about creating a place to educate, a place to share, a place to encourage. Driven by science, brought together by community, at Lumen we not only break new ground on the metabolic front, but we also share it with everyone… not just biohackers or athletes.?This one’s for everyone.
