This month, we're thrilled to spotlight Anthony Cilia, whose journey over the last decade with us represents the dedication and excellence that make Valeo stand out in the construction industry.

Meet Anthony Cilia

A valued employee at Valeo for ten years, Anthony has been instrumental in our growth and success. Starting as an ambitious apprentice, Anthony quickly made his mark, moving from the maintenance department to production and site management. His journey from an eager apprentice in May 2013 to a respected Site Manager illustrates his personal growth and the trust and confidence we place in our team members.

Tom Tziouvelis , an executive at Valeo, reflects on Anthony's journey: "I have really enjoyed seeing Anthony's growth over the last 10 years. His transition across departments and up to managing sites has been remarkable. Despite the challenges, Anthony has always been willing to collaborate and push his sites forward. His professionalism and company-first mentality stand out. Discussing his growth and areas for improvement, which he focuses on persistently, has been particularly rewarding. I'm looking forward to another 10 years with him, despite his unfortunate choice of football team - Carlton!

Adding to Tom's reflections, Bruno Butera , Anthony's mentor, comments: "Having the chance to mentor Anthony from the get-go has been a real highlight for me. His genuine drive and ability to adapt quickly caught my eye early on. Anthony's always been keen on tackling whatever comes his way, pushing his growth here at Valeo. Watching him grow into a solid and confident site manager has been awesome for all of us.

Significant milestones mark Anthony's path to success. As a Site Manager, his first major project at Jersey Parade in January 2021 was a testament to his ability to meet and exceed targets. His leadership on the Rosslyn Street West project in 2023 and his current role in our head office project at 135 Market Street, South Melbourne, demonstrate his versatility and commitment to excellence.

Beyond Work

Anthony's commitment isn't just confined to the job. His personal milestones, including his wedding to his amazing wife, who’s been exceptional support and welcoming his baby, Mackenzie, into the world, reflect the joy and balance he finds in life outside work. This balance makes him not just a reliable worker but a positive and inspiring presence among us.

Anthony's work ethic is exemplified by his mantra, " Let’s get it done." This attitude of taking on challenges head-on and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently has made him a reliable and indispensable part of our team.
