Employee Spotlight: Sean O'Neill

Meet Sean O'Neill, one of the remarkable talents behind ORC's continued success! As a dedicated Right of Way Agent, Sean brings a wealth of expertise and passion to our team, consistently delivering outstanding results in navigating the complex landscape of right of way management. In this spotlight, we'll be taking a closer look at Sean's professional journey and accomplishments, how he maintains a healthy work-life balance, and why he is passionate about working at ORC.

Q1: How did you get started in your current role?

Funny story… While attending John Carroll University, I had a Business Communications professor named Kevin Robison - who is currently ORC's Proposal & Market Research Manager.? Early in the semester, he and I discovered we are both alumni from St. Ignatius High School, and we became great friends ever since.? Kevin recruited me, and nearly seven years later, I am happy to say I am still at ORC in the Cleveland Office.

Q2: What do you enjoy most about the culture at ORC?

The culture at ORC is unlike any other.? We embody what it truly means to be held accountable in a fast-paced work environment.? Public infrastructure projects require detailed attention as well as patience and persistence.? We have a team mentality, and everyone is dedicated to the overall success of ORC.

Q3: Any hobbies or interests outside of work that you'd like to share?

In my free time, I enjoy golfing and visiting Lake Chautauqua, NY during the summer and snowboarding in the winter.? I am also an avid Cleveland sports fan, so I try to attend as many Indians, Browns, and Cavs games as I can.? Lastly, I love going to the movie theater to see new movies when they come out.

Q4: How do you maintain a work-life balance?

Having a work-life balance is paramount.? At ORC, we have the capability to be flexible within limits.? I cherish and exemplify the mantra of 'work hard, play harder.'? Being able to both clear projects in a timely fashion during work hours and catch a weekday evening ball game is a very accomplishing conquest.? Possessing a balanced work-life creates the possibility of being the most effective professional possible.

Q5: What ORC achievement are you most proud of?

I am most proud of gaining independence as an Agent who tackles projects start to finish.? Taking on new projects is like starting a new puzzle.? Every piece is different, and it offers variety, so the day-to-day functions are not mundane in the slightest.? Juggling multiple projects is quite an act to perfect, but it strengthens the opportunity of becoming a more well-rounded individual.? I feel blessed to work at ORC and am looking forward to many years to come in my journey.?

It is evident that Sean's dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence are truly exemplary. His genuine appreciation for ORC's culture and the pride he takes in our achievements only further solidify his integral role within our organization. We extend our gratitude to Sean for his outstanding contributions and look forward to witnessing his continued success and impact at ORC!
