Employee Spotlight: Nikita Kandath

CommScope’s Nikita Kandath, regional marketing manager?for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) emerging markets, was recently named Most Innovative Go-To-Market Strategist of the Year by CPI Media Publishing at their inaugural Women in Tech (Pride of Tech) Forum and Awards event. This event honored the remarkable women who innovate, inspire, and transform the technology sector by breaking digital boundaries and creating a more inclusive global workforce.

Since joining CommScope in 2018, Nikita credits CommScope for providing her with the opportunity to transform old-school marketing techniques into new and innovative activities to help build the brand and support customer?needs for the future.

Within EMEA emerging markets, Nikita is involved in multiple, innovative campaigns that push the boundaries of traditional marketing methods, investing in new platform visibility for the brand and generating demand. She has also led investment in a research platform that enables the Sales team to receive information about a project before the initial planning stage.

One of her most memorable projects is the 2020 EMEA Roadshow that her team conducted virtually. This was the first time they pivoted from a fully in-person event to a 100% virtual one; they were able to bring over 800 customers online with positive feedback on the sessions and the overall event.

Nikita takes pride in being part of an inclusive and flexible work environment at CommScope. "If I had to describe the work culture at CommScope, it would be a ‘family environment’ where everyone supports and understands each other," she explains.

This award has been a great boost to my career as it recognizes my efforts to move beyond the marketing spectrum into a more strategy-focused arena, which I have been striving so hard to do for the past couple of years,” commented Nikita. “My vision is to reach a leadership role at some point and keep learning and innovating within my space. CommScope and my manager – Mariana Esposito — have been very instrumental in giving me the space to grow.”

Nikita is also passionate about equality and equity for all and strives to respect all individuals regardless of race, religion, gender, etc. To further her passion, she joined The WICT Network Europe?as deputy chair of marketing and comms to promote diversity to a wider audience, an opportunity she received through CommScope.

A piece of advice that Nikita has for aspiring professionals is to keep learning, be proactive and keep innovating: "Research is key for any industry."

Nikita's professional prowess is fueled by inspiration from leaders within CommScope and her industry. As for her personal life, she takes inspiration from her parents. Outside of work, Nikita loves traveling and learning about new cultures.
