Employee Spotlight: Meet Shawn McCoy, Account Executive at Gondola Skate

Today, we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on Account Executive, Shawn McCoy. Shawn is a key player on our team, known for his dedication to building strong client relationships and delivering exactly what our customers need.

Role:

Shawn’s favorite part of his role as Account Executive is building strong relationships with our clients. Shawn notes, “I enjoy getting to know the customers and trying to find out what kind of program works best for the job that they have to do.”

Evolution Within Gondola Skate:

Since joining Gondola Skate in March of 2023, Shawn’s role has grown in exciting ways. He’s been able to focus more on our legacy accounts and providing top-notch customer service. “I’ve become more involved with our clients’ month-to-month projects, making them feel comfortable enough to pick up the phone at any time and know that they can get the right skate for the right job.” Shawn is all about making sure our customers know we are there for them and feel supported every step of the way.

Highlights:

One of Shawn’s standout experiences so far has been working on the Viper skate project, our system that is specifically designed to move convenience store shelving. “It’s been amazing to watch this project come to life, from initial meetings with 7-Eleven corporate to the NCASEF Franchise Owners Association, building that relationship and getting to work with our CEO, Frank Charles Cozza.” Shawn also notes that watching our engineering team bring the Viper concept to reality is truly impressive.

Shawn also had a front-row seat to the transformation of our showroom where we can demonstrate our equipment at work on various fixture types. “Watching the Fort Worth Showroom come together has been an exciting process. It’s beautiful and it's a great way to see and use all our products that are on display. A real hands-on experience.”

Inspiration:

Shawn lives by the quote, “Expect nothing, appreciate everything.” It’s a reminder to be grateful for the little things in life, which he believes is key to finding inner peace.
