Role:

As Director of Business Development and Inside Sales, Lon interfaces with many stakeholders and team members. Lon notes his favorite aspect of his role is “the interesting people that I get to work with, from contractors to retailers, and the relationships we’ve developed over the years.”

Evolution Within Gondola Skate:

Lon’s journey at Gondola Skate began over three years ago, initially as the sole salesperson alongside our CEO. During that time, Lon gained valuable hands-on experience in our local office and warehouse, learning the intricacies of our equipment. His journey reflects the ethos that 'in a small boat, everyone rows.' ?Today, Lon is an integral part of a thriving sales team of seven talented individuals.

Highlights:

One of Lon’s proudest achievements is developing the program with our partners at Quality Equipment Management and Tractor Supply Company. This initiative involves collaborating closely with the Tractor Supply Retail Initiatives Team on their Fusion Projects, providing customized skate packages and equipping them to move the different fixtures in their stores. Managing over 150 Fusion Project skate rentals annually for the past two-plus years underscores Lon’s dedication to delivering tailored and streamlined solutions to our clients.

Inspiration:

Lon finds inspiration in the words of Brian Tracy, “Approach each customer with the idea of helping them to solve a problem or achieve a goal, not of selling a product or service.” Outside of work, Lon cherishes time with family and friends enjoying the outdoors, golfing, and playing pickleball.
