Employee Spotlight: Meet Carmen Giang

In 2017, a recruiter approached me with a great opportunity to join the Sales team at Moneris in Vancouver. Although I was not actively looking for a new role, I was drawn to the possibility of working for a large organization that offered new challenges and growth potential. Despite having little prior knowledge of FinTech, I knew I was ready for a major career change. It was a scary thought as I was working in healthcare with Adult Day Programs at the time given my background in Health Sciences with a focus on Gerontology. However, during the interview process, Moneris and their leadership team placed a strong emphasis on the welcoming company culture, open-door mindset, and clear focus on employee development, so I felt confident taking the leap.?

Since joining Moneris, I have felt nothing but immense support from the organization and my colleagues, which enabled me to grow my career. I have been reassured that Moneris values its employees and strives to foster their growth and success. Over the last 5 years, I have progressed from a Field Sales Rep to a Regional Sales Rep and now hold the role of Regional Sales Manager, overseeing Field and Regional reps in BC and Saskatchewan.
