Employee Spotlight: Jorge C. Navas

1.?????Tell us about your background.

I studied Business Administration and Management in Spain for 4 years and I also earned a certificate from ESIC Business and Marketing School in the commercial field. After my degree, I worked for 6 months in a bank before coming to Ireland. When I arrived in Ireland, I worked in different sectors while I was improving my English skills until I was finally able to achieve my goal of working in the financial services sector.

2.?????When you joined IFDS what were your first impressions?

From the first day you can really feel that you are working for a prestigious company with important investors. I also found the managers helpful with the new hires.?

3.?????How does your role assist our clients?

I am part of IDS (Investor?and Distributor?Services team) so I am in direct contact with investors every day. I answer any queries that they may have and along with my team, we put a face to the name of the company and ensure that our clients receive the best assistance to achieve their goals.

?4.?????What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

?I would say that my biggest achievement is my experience here in Ireland. I came to this country two years ago with no English, job or house and two years later I am working for one of the most important financial services companies in the country.

?5.?????What is something that you have always wanted to try and have not yet?

I always wanted to try skydiving. I have been thinking about that for a while, but I still have not done it yet!
