Employee Spotlight: J Hall

Throughout 2023, we will be spotlighting the behind-the-scenes superstars of our company to recognize and celebrate their successes.

We are honored to introduce you to J Hall, Listing Coordinator for Harry Norman, REALTORS? Intown Office and Harry Norman, REALTORS? Buckhead Northwest.

How would you summarize what you do?

J Hall: Ultimately, I would summarize my role as being ‘The Support System’. So really anything the agents,?broker or even staff need that I can assist with to create a more seamless, streamlined process is my main priority. I’ve always loved to be of service and I think when you have the right people around you the possibilities are endless. I really do believe that when someone else in the company wins, I win; especially as it pertains to our office. We’re all connected in some way, so supporting someone else not only helps to fill their cup, but mine too.

Why Harry Norman?

J Hall: I think the real question is why not Harry Norman? I believe that the company standard of providing superior service is something that aligns with what I strongly stand for and believe in. I am very much so a ‘people first’ kind of person and I think Harry Norman exudes that in the way that upper management treats their staff, how staff treats our agents and in turn, how agents treat their clients.

What’s unique about working for our organization?

J Hall: Working for and managing several brokerages prior to this role has given me a front row seat to various business practices and processes and I can confidently say that Harry Norman is unlike any other brokerage out there. The support that Harry Norman offers their agents alone is incomparable to the typical support that one would experience while working for any other brokerage. I believe that because they focus on providing so much value to our agents, it creates an opportunity for agents to provide that same value to their clients. Quite frankly, Harry Norman is the standard that all brokerages should aspire to be.

Additionally, I had the pleasure of attending a company-wide staff meeting about topics that organizations usually don’t have. It was about microaggressions in the workplace. I think it’s easy to say that you’re a company that strives to be inclusive because it looks good on paper, but it’s another thing to?actually take the steps towards said inclusivity. Being apart of that forum showed me that this company is not afraid to have the hard conversations which are needed if a company claims it is progressive and forward-thinking. For me personally, I had never experienced anything like it, and it made me really proud to not only be apart of the conversation, but to also work for a company that sees the importance and value of having those kinds of conversations, and even more so, work towards applying the knowledge gained from those conversations so that we all can be on one accord.

What motivates or inspires you?

J Hall: To be quite honest, I inspire me. My rich history of people who look like me inspires me. My grandparents’ resilience in knowing that they deserved the best inspires me. Life itself inspires me. I know that I was born for a purpose. Like, I know without a shadow of a doubt that I was born for something greater. I KNOW that I deserve the best that life has to offer and because of that, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to give that to myself. Because let’s be honest, if I didn’t deserve better than the best, why would I be here? I wasn’t born to have a mediocre life, and I think the difference between successful and non-successful people is those who believe that and those who don’t.

What company value(s) resonate with you the most?

J Hall: Honestly, this was a hard one because I think they all resonate with me so much. But, if I had to pick the pillar at the top of my list, it would be integrity. Especially because I believe that all the other values – authenticity, rich relationships, community focus, and professional experience, are a result of having integrity. I’m really big on just being a good person. I feel like that’s the rent we all pay by simply being here and taking up space. When a person’s character can’t be compromised, it speaks to all that they are. Because if you don’t have integrity, do you really have anything that’s worth having?
