Employee Spotlight: Aditya Menon Senior Scientist- Formulation

How long have you been at Provivi? Tell us about your role.

I joined Provivi back in May 2021, so it has been around 8+ months. My role is that of a senior scientist and I lead the biodegradable formulation team, focusing on research and development of next generation pheromone-based products.

What inspires your work at Provivi?

I am very inspired by green technologies and solutions that are tackling current environmental and sustainability-based challenges of the world. The goal of Provivi to create products that do not disrupt or negatively affect our ecosystems yet provide a means to increase food supply and protect crops from pest damage, is the main source of inspiration for my work here.

What Provivi core value resonates most with you?

Although I believe in all the core values of Provivi deeply, the value of learning resonates the most with me. Working with smart and hardworking individuals and by taking on challenging projects, I am learning a lot and improving my understanding of various physiochemical phenomena that influence the behavior of our products.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to travel, do photography, sketch, and paint, play guitar etc. I often tend to spend my leisure time in artistic pursuits.

What’s your favorite insect?

My favorite insect are fireflies. Unlike other insects, most species of fireflies use their “light flashes” to attract mates, instead of pheromones. When we see their lights at night, it brings a sense of wonder and positive emotions which is why I find them very cool.
