Employee Profit Share - Why?

Employee Profit Share - Why?

"Whilst most businesses are struggling to come to terms with NI and minimum wage increases, Cara Mackay, CEO of Gillies and Mackay, has released the first in its kind, Employee Profit Shares for her Family Business."

Gillies and Mackay Ltd, a leading manufacturer of premium timber buildings, is proud to announce the launch of its Employee Profit Share Scheme. This initiative reflects the company's commitment to recognising and rewarding the dedication of its team members, ensuring they share in the success they help to create.

Under the leadership of CEO Cara Mackay, Gillies and Mackay has consistently demonstrated a forward-thinking approach to business.

The introduction of the Employee Profit Share Scheme is a testament to this ethos, fostering a culture of shared prosperity and mutual growth.

This development comes on the heels of Gillies and Mackay securing funding through the Government's Growth Guarantee Scheme. This support will further bolster the company's expansion plans and its commitment to excellence in craftsmanship.

Cara Mackay, CEO, commented:

"Our team is the backbone of our success. By introducing the Employee Profit Share Scheme, we aim to ensure that everyone benefits from the hard work and dedication they invest in our company. This, coupled with the recent funding we've secured, positions us for a future of shared growth and continued excellence."

Gillies and Mackay's commitment to its employees and customers has been consistently recognised. The company was honoured with the Legacy Award at the Small Awards in 2024 and the Business Leader Award in 2023, underscoring its dedication to quality and visionary growth.

The Employee Profit Share Scheme funds were released on 31st January 2025, with all eligible employees receiving their first company profit share in the history of Gillies and Mackay.
