Employee Loyalty cant be forced; it can be EARN only!
Every employer expects 100% loyalty from employees toward him/company. but they forgets that they paying salary to get work done, not to get loyal. respect and loyalty cant be forced and it can be earned only. Its something which is not written in work contract.
What an employee expects from bosses -
- Respect - Everyone deserves for equal respect, It shouldn't be vary on the basis of position, color, race or anything else. its very basic right of everyone.
- Recognition and Appreciation - Good performance turns to bad in absence of recognition and appreciation. Everyone wants to feel appreciated. Frequent sincere recognition keeps your team engaged and productive.
- Opportunities - Create opportunities for growth and development. Always make sure there are ways your employees can grow and can do work that inspires them.
- Training and support - Training demonstrates a company’s commitment to employees in terms of personal and professional growth.
- Empathy - No one knows what you thinking, Show that you care. it helps improve team morale and performance.
And bosses should avoid -
- Don’t treat employees like machines – Employer should understands the need for a work/life balance and respect of employees personal time.
- Discrimination - in respect of organisation's goodwill and healthy work environment discrimination is a venom.
- Never Micromanage - Trust employees. Give them autonomy and breathing space to get their work done.
